The Uganda Embassy in Beijing participating in the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE)

The Uganda Embassy in Beijing, the Consulate in Guangzhou and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives of the Republic of Uganda, are jointly participating in the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which officially opened on 5 November 2025 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, and running until 10 November 2025.

Uganda is participating under the national theme:
“Nurturing Agriculture · Enriching Tourism · Sharing Prosperity.”

Uganda’s Pavilion drew strong interest on the first day with traditional dance performances, the aroma of freshly brewed Ugandan coffee, and lively engagement from visitors exploring Uganda’s agricultural and tourism opportunities.

A key highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) and Cotti Coffee (China) Ltd., marking a new chapter of cooperation in coffee value-chain development and market expansion.

Uganda’s exhibitors comprised of representatives from the agriculture, trade and tourism sectors.

Private-sector participants include Bayaaya Coffee, Kimco Coffee, Seedstar Coffee, Inspire Coffee, Noble Choice, MICE Uganda, and Let’s Go Travel Tour Company, representing Uganda’s dynamic private sector in coffee, agro-products, and destination marketing.

CIIE 2025 has attracted 155 countries and regions and over 4,000 overseas exhibitors, covering a total exhibition area of 430,000 square meters. Uganda’s participation aims to strengthen partnerships in agriculture, tourism, and investment, expand market access for Ugandan products, and promote the country as a premier trade and tourism destination.
